Information about the coronavirus

The health and safety of our employees, customers and partners are paramount, which is why we at PostNL are following developments on the coronavirus ever so closely. We are of course taking measures as and when useful and necessary. In so doing we are following the guidelines and instructions of the FPS Public Health and other authorities. We make sure that our employees know what they have to do to stay healthy and work as safely as possible. The health and safety of our worker takes overriding priority. Our delivery staff keep a distance of 1.5 metre and avoid physical contact.

The government in Belgium has announced new measures to stem the spread of the coronavirus. We continue to deliver parcels safely to the homes of consumers.

The Belgian government has decided that non-essential shops will be closed as of 12:00 noon on 18 March. Part of the PostNL points in Belgium will be closed as a result. These measures affect web shops that dispatch parcels to Belgium. The web shops and the PostNL points will be informed accordingly.

Delivery

Delivering mail, parcels and other consignments for our customers helps to maintain social intercourse. That is why we continue to deliver in a responsible manner.

Preventing the virus from spreading

We follow the FPS Public Health guidelines and take hygiene measures to prevent the virus from spreading further. We make sure that our employees know what they have to do to stay healthy and to work as hygienically as possible. Our delivery staff keep a distance of 1.5 metre and avoid physical contact.

New measures

The Belgian government has decided that non-essential shops are to be closed as of 1 November at midnight. As a result of this decision, a small part of the PostNL points in Belgium have been closed. The web shops and PstNL points will be informed of the possible impact thereof.

Parcels at a PostNL point

Parcels which are located at a closed PostNL point, will remain there. We are sparing no effort to find a solution for them. Parcels which cannot be delivered to the consumer’s home after a second attempt will be taken to a PostNL point that remains open.

The latest status of the parcels can be consulted via track & trace or on this website.
