Surcharge on parcels sent around the public holidays

From 1 January, a surcharge of € 0.32 per parcel applies to parcels sent during the peak period. During this period (from 15 November to 31 December 2026), we send almost twice as many parcels as usual. To deliver them all on time, we deploy extra staff and resources. For example, we rent additional storage space and trucks, keep sorting centres open longer, and run extra routes – both during the day and at night. All these measures cost money, which is why this surcharge applies.

Whom does this surcharge apply to?

The surcharge applies to everyone who sends parcels under a contract in 2026 during the peak period from 15 November to 31 December 2026.

Does the surcharge also apply to returns and parcels abroad?

The surcharge applies to all parcels delivered in said period via our network, in other words also for returns and parcels abroad.
